Pad Kra Pao
Ingredients
- Basil leaves (2 cups)
- Chicken breast
- Soy Sauce
- Dark Soy Sauce
- Oyster Sauce
- Fish Sauce
- Sugar
- String beans
- Garlic cloves (5)
- Egg
- Canola oil
Cooking sauce for chicken
- Add 1 tbsp of soy sauce.
- Add 1 tbsp of dark soy sauce.
- Add 1 tbsp of oyster sauce.
- Add 1 tbsp of fish sauce.
- Add 2 tbsp of water.
- Add 1 tsp of sugar.
- Mix well.
Preparation and Cooking
- Cut chicken breast into bite sized chunks.
- Cut string beans into bite sized chunks.
- Crush garlic cloves.
- Add canola oil to a wok and turn on heat.
- Add garlic cloves and cook until brown.
- Add chicken and cooking sauce and cook until chicken is done.
- Temporarily remove chicken from wok and place into a bowl.
- Cook string beans.
- Re-add cooked chicken and mix well.
- Turn off heat and wait a few seconds for wok to cool down.
- Add basil leaves and mix well.
Thai style fried egg
- Add canola oil to non-stick pan and turn on heat.
- Crack an egg into the pan.
- Cook the egg until the edges are brown and the yolk is cooked to your liking.
