Chicken Parmesan
Ingredients
- Chicken Breast
- Salt
- Breadcrumbs
- Flour
- 3 Eggs
- Marinara Sauce
- 1 Onion
- Canola Oil
Breaded Chicken Breast Assembly
- Prepare 3 bowls, one for the cracked eggs, one for flour, and one for breadcrumbs (season with salt and pepper and cheese)
- Take chicken breasts and soak in egg wash, then coat with flour, and then coat with breadcrumbs. NOTE: You do not want extra flour or breadcrumbs! Be sure to shake the chicken breast after coating!
- Place breaded chicken breasts on a separate plate in preparation for frying.
Marinara Sauce Assembly
- Add tomato sauce or whole tomatoes into pot and season well
- Add one finely chopped onion to sauce as well
Frying Steps
- Shake off excess breadcrumbs if there are still any
- Add a shallow layer of canola oil to a pot and turn flame to medium-high
- Gently place breaded chicken breast into oil and cook until the bottom side is golden brown
- Flip the breaded chicken breast and cook until the bottom side is golden brown
- Check doneness by pressing your utensil against the chicken and feeling firmness (reasonable firmness means it is done)
